Craig Felner is a former White House official, Senate policy advisor, and seasoned government affairs executive with over 25 years’ experience in Washington.
Prior to joining Lincoln Policy Group (LPG), Craig was Vice President of Government Affairs for Valero Energy, a Fortune 50 energy company based in San Antonio, Texas. During his 15-year tenure at Valero, Craig oversaw all Washington in-house staff and ran a robust team of outside consultants.
Prior to his career at Valero, Craig served in the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs for President George W. Bush. There he served as the liaison between President Bush and his Cabinet members. He was responsible for oversight and management of the Departments of Energy, Enviornmental Protection Agency, Interior, and Agriculture. He coordinated policy, communications, and political activities with the Secretaries on behalf of the President.
Before serving in the White House, Craig spent six years working in the Washington office of former U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX). During his stint with Senator Hutchison, he advised her on issues related to energy, natural resources, taxes, and the environment.
Craig arrived in Washington in 1995 as an LBJ intern for former House Energy & Commerce Committee Chairman Joe Barton (R-TX) before moving across Capitol Hill to work for Senator Hutchison.
At LPG since 2017, Craig provides strategic advice and advocacy services for LPG clients before Congress, the White House, and Federal Agencies to further clients legislative, regulatory, and public policy goals.
Craig holds a B.A. in political science from Texas Christian University. He currently resides in Vienna, Virginia with his wife and two boys. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
