OVERVIEW
Multiple members of Lincoln Policy Group (LPG), most notably Senator Blanche Lincoln who served as the first Chairwoman of the Senate Agriculture Committee, have direct Capitol Hill or Administrative experience in agriculture policy. Hannah Lambiotte Smith served as Senator Lincoln’s agriculture policy advisor and went on to work in corporate affairs for Walmart Stores where she was able to witness the business impact of key federal programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants & Children .
AREAS OF FOCUS
LPG focuses primarily on traditional farm bill and child nutrition programs, the jurisdiction of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, derivatives, rural broadband deployment, agricultural chemicals and biotechnology, food labeling, and conservation programs.
